Keymet is proud to announce about the collaboration with Omnisys and NASA's project GUSTO (Galactic/extragalactic Ultra long duration balloon Spectroscopic Stratospheric THz Observatory). Keymet have been given the honourable mission of producing mechanics for the GUSTO- project.

The purpose of the GUSTO- project is to develop a new spectrometer circuit for digital signal processing in space-based microwave instrument. In the press release about GUSTO, NASA announces that GUSTO will provide the first complete study of all phases of the stellar life cycle, from the formation of molecular clouds, through star birth and evolution, to the formation of gas clouds and the re-initiation of the cycle.

Products for the aerospace industry are an important part of Keymet's strategic development. The collaboration with Omnisys and NASA's project GUSTO is therefore a step in the right direction and shows that Keymet has the knowledge required to participate in demanding projects.

Omnisys is a company in Sweden that is specialized in measuring equipment and other space research instruments. Martin Kores is the Managing Director of Omnisys and in an interview with Marisol Zamora from Keymet, he says that they started the project with the application process already four years ago.

“I am very proud of our production and quality staff. This is a proof of our ability to produce demanding details with the highest quality requirements. It will be exciting to follow project GUSTO and its journey in the stratosphere after the launch which is planned to be 2021.”, says Keymet's CEO Janne Vähäkangas who also wants to thank Omnisys for trusting in Keymet´s capabilities.
